Jodhpreet Sekhon

Jodhpreet Sekhon, Physiotherapist

Jodh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Jalandhar, India in 2009. Jodh uses his sound clinical reasoning to educate, assess and manage patients with musculoskeletal (muscles/bones/joints/nerves) problems. Integrating IMS into his physiotherapy practice allows him to diagnose and treat the chronic myofascial (muscle/ fascia interface) pain that can be present in the musculoskeletal system in the absence of any obvious signs of injury or inflammation.

Jodh’s treatment techniques include soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, manual therapy, spine and joint mobilization and manipulation, intramuscular stimulation and exercise therapy. His areas of practice include advanced diagnosis of posture, movement patterns and muscle imbalances which may lead to chronic pain, work and sports injuries as well as treating headaches, neck, shoulder, lower back, hip, knee and ankle disorders.

He has a special interest in sports injury treatment and prevention and has worked with football, cricket, tennis, rugby, soccer, Lacrosse, volleyball and hockey players, treating neck, hip, knee, ankle and back injuries. Recent and ongoing training in concussion management has allowed him to conduct baseline concussion testing and provide effective and timely concussion management/rehab. He is trained in IMS (Dry Needling) and vestibular rehab. He attributes his success to great mentorship from Lori Dalin, Rambabu Chandra PT, Shilpy Jetly PT and Mark Fergusson PT. He treats his patients with dignity and respect and encourages a return to activity through exercise and education He enjoys solving problems and finding ways to help people improve their quality of life and maximize their potential. Jodh is married and has two kids which he enjoys spending time with. In his free time, Jodh loves to meditate and play volleyball, cricket and badminton.


Jaspreet-Kaur

 

Jaspreet Kaur,  Physiotherapist

Jaspreet graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, India in 2017. Jaspreet is specialized in treating a variety of conditions including sports injuries, Musculoskeletal disorders, Neurological disorders, and chronic pain. She uses a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education to help her patients achieve their goals. Jaspreet believes in taking a holistic approach to healthcare and she works closely with her patients to address not just their physical symptoms, but also their emotional and psychological wellbeing. Her ultimate goal is to help her patients achieve their optimum level of function so that they live their lives to the fullest. When not working, Jaspreet enjoys doing meditation and exploring new places. She also enjoys reading about the latest developments in Physiotherapy and incorporating new techniques and approaches into her practice.


Dave H. Reichelt

Dave H. Reichelt, RMT

Dave is in his 15th year as an RMT and worked for 20 previous years as an Athletic Trainer ( working with athletes in the CFL, WHL, and universities).  

He is a certified K-taping practitioner. He can develop specific treatment protocols and rehab programs for sports injuries, and for other conditions/injuries that are presented to him: from working with elite athletes and weekend warriors to expectant moms, office workers and retirees. He also has numerous Massage techniques including, myofascial Release, neuromuscular and orthopedic techniques. Dave strongly advocates that exercise, flexibility, and therapy be a big component and commitment towards a healthy lifestyle.

Dave keeps himself busy and fit with squash 3-4x/week,  and cycling when the weather permits.  He also likes to go on walks and hikes with his Foxton Terrier, Murf, and his long-term partner, Sheree.

 


Leah Firth

Leah Firth, RMT

Leah graduated in 2015 from the 2200-hour program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster. She had amazing opportunities to learn through outreach programs at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, VGH Burns, Plastics & Trauma Unit, UBC sports therapy, and the Multiple Sclerosis in-reach at WCCMT. Her treatment styles focus on deep tissue, myo-facial release, trigger point therapy, and sports massage. Leah focuses the treatment on the cause of the problem and not on only treating the symptoms.

She has made her health and wellness a priority in her life and does so by staying active by working out and enjoying the great outdoors.

Leah has made the choice to study for her Bachelor of Health Science degree through Thompson Rivers University so she can expand her education.


 
Dr. Inderpreet Samra

 

Dr. Inderpreet Samra, Chiropractor

Dr. Inderpreet Samra earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics from the University of Victoria. She worked as a Business Analyst at Fraser Health Authority and gradually realized her passion for hands-on health care. She developed an interest in Chiropractic by witnessing her immediate family members heal from chronic conditions such as disc-related and motor vehicle injuries through chiropractic care. Dr. Samra’s motivation to help members of her community led her to Portland, Oregon to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States.

Dr. Samra helps guide patients on their journey to health and wellness through evidence-informed chiropractic care. She treats a spectrum of conditions with a focus on neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. She is certified to treat patients of all ages ranging from young children to pregnant women, athletes and the geriatric population.

Dr. Samra utilizes a variety of tools and techniques, including but not limited to manual and instrument-assisted adjusting methods, manual and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping, electrical modalities including class IV laser & shockwave therapy, and patient education. She creates personalized treatment plans for each patient to cater to their specific goals, whether it is returning to their favourite sport after an ankle injury, reducing the frequency of headaches or being able to go for a pain-free evening walk. Though having graduated, Dr. Samra continues to stay updated on current research in healthcare through continuing education and certifications.

Outside of the office, Dr. Samra enjoys exploring mountain-top views through hiking in the summer, travelling to new cities and countries, creating art through painting or spending a cozy day at home finishing up her new favourite wellness book!


 

Gagandeep

Gagandeep Guraya, RMT

Gagan graduated from CDI College in 2022 with a diploma in Registered Massage Therapy. She is a dedicated, mature and passionate massage therapist who has gained experience by treating seniors, patients with mood disorders, neurological disorders and underlying conditions as well as those seeking stress and pain relief in their everyday lives. As she continues to grow as a massage therapist, she intends to take more courses to be able to provide more services and benefits to her clients. She has done some outreach work at a senior home as well. She has also worked at a student clinic and got experience working with patients who are living with life-long illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s. She believes in connecting with her clients and helping them to improve their physical and emotional well-being.

She thoroughly assesses her client’s needs. Her goals in treatment are to promote positive changes in her client’s health and well-being and to educate them to become more aware of their body through home care stretching and exercises.

Gagan’s approach incorporates various types of massages in order to tailor the appropriate treatment for each client. Her chosen techniques may include deep tissue release, trigger point therapy, attachment release, Swedish. She will also create an appropriate exercise program to support the recovery process for her clients and restore bodily function.

She loves to maintain her fitness level and practices yoga. She enjoys hiking, badminton, cooking and hanging out with her family and friends. She is always happy and excited to help people and welcomes new patients into her practice. She is committed to treating and educating her patients.
